Marseille is the second populous city in France. It is the oldest city in the country. The city is declared as European Capital of Culture. Marseille differs from other France cities greatly. The outside the city, there is the Pharo Gardens, a park with views of the Mediterranean and the Old Port. There is also magnificent Corniche, an amazing waterfront way between the Old Port and the Bay of Marseille, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Marseille has an international airport, Marseille Provence Airport, placed in Marignane. A well developed network of motorways connects Marseille to the north and west. There is a perfect transport system: a wide range of buses, railway station, and metro station. The city has many luxurious hotels with all modern conveniences and high quality service.
