Austin is a picturesque city with wonderful landscape and rich history. Come here and admire its marvelous resort. Located in the heart of the state, its capital, Austin, in recent years from an independent cultural center is transformed into the world home of live music and promising groups. At first glance, Austin is no different from other Texas cities, buying up the objects of a tourist attraction and filled with natural charm, but the mere acquaintance with a local music store, namely, with records of live performances will show you how much Austin combines the features of other cities in Texas. University of Texas, as well as many other educational institutions of different levels, which were opened in the second half of the nineteenth century, quickly earned Austin the title of one of the cultural centers of the country. However, in addition to this, the city also is actively developing and trading, and a variety of craft enterprises. In 1893 it completed the construction of a dam on the Colorado River, which allowed city residents to enjoy those benefits, which makes use of electricity. Unfortunately, a few years later the dam was destroyed by the devastating floods and the city for a few months left without a powerful source of electricity, and subsequently in its place was built seven new modern dams. Perhaps the incident with the destruction of the dam at the time did not give Austin the opportunity to become a major industrial center of the country, but in a way the city went a different path of development of the city - both political and educational center. In terms of population yielded Austin Dallas and Houston at times, but at the time of the Second World lived in the city is already about ninety thousand people, the city also managed to acquire several skyscrapers and the airport. After the war, continued development of Austin as a center of education and high technology, began to appear different laboratories and research centers, and soon came to the city and large companies that specialize in advanced technologies. Today, Austin is also well known as a center of musical culture. Thousands of tourist come here to admire this excellent city.
